Liane Keegan

Born in Australia, Liane received scholarships from the Opera Foundation Australia, Shell Royal Covent Garden Scholarship which enabled her to study at the National Opera Studio London. She attended the AIMS summer School in Graz Austria on the Opera Australia Foundation Scholarship and in 1997, she won a Bayreuth Bursary from the Wagner Society of Great Britain.

Liane's international opera career has included roles in productions with Opera Australia, English National  Opera, Opera North (UK), Deutsche Oper Berlin and many other European opera companies. Since returning to Australia permanently in 2012, Liane has appeared many times with Opera Victoria, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra and Opera Australia.

Liane is collaborating with Skunkworks in our production of JUDY AUSTRALIA 1964.

Danielle Matthews


Project Partner

Danielle Matthews is a Graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, the inaugural winner of the prestigious Rob Guest Endowment award and the Co Artistic Director of the famous Choir of Hard Knocks.

Notable theatre and concert credits include: Showboat, Where Do I Begin (The Voice of Shirley Bassey),  An Evening with Stephen Sondheim, Respect the Musical (Australia Tour), Motor- mouth Loves Suck-face ( Anthony Crowley) Big Band Beat (Tokyo Disney), Another Opening Another Show (Manilla St Productions), Ship of Fools (Gary Young), TRIBE (Anthony Crowley),  Twisted Broadway, Light the Night, Hats Off For Sondheim, Musical Melodies, Carols by Candlelight, Morning Melodies, Sing for a Cure, The Rob Guest Endowment Concert and The Helpmann Awards. 

Danielle has also performed live on TV shows including The Circle, Good Morning Australia, Mornings with Kerri-Anne the Today Show, and performed the Australian national anthem at the MCG for the opening of one day cricket test series.

In 2013 Danielle has recorded her debut album ‘Dream Song‘ with Move Records and more recently, recorded La Belle Epoque for the in-game soundtrack to one of the world’s most popular video game series – Assassins Creed.

Danielle is the Victorian Ambassador for the Miracle Babies Foundation of Australia and recorded their theme song ‘My Miracle’ which featured on their national ad campaign.

Danielle has worked with Skunkworks on her recording of The Songs of Shirley Bassey and The Prayer.


Bright Chalet

A unique European styled chalet right in the heart of the Victorian Alpine High Country, the Bright Chalet hosts our annual Brass and Percussion Summer Intensive music camp each year as well as partnering with Skunkworks on other projects

Along with top class accommodation, their facilities include swimming pool, ski hire, bike hire, restaurant and mini coach. Their friendly staff also organise offsite activities such as bicycle tours, canoeing, rafting and skiing trips for guests. 

Maggie Haggart


 Margaret is one of Australia's foremost sopranos and studied with Antonio Moretti-Pananti, gaining amateur performance experience with Victorian Opera Co., which became Victoria State Opera.

In 1972 her professional career began in UK, with Welsh National Opera, singing Queen of Night & Gilda (Rigoletto).  Principal roles followed with ENO, Scottish Op., Opera North, English Music Theatre, R.Albert Hall Prom Concerts & BBC Radio & TV.  She performed with Nancy Opera & the Orange Festival in France, and Santiago Opera in Chile.

Home in Melbourne from 1984, she appeared with VSO, all State Companies, Opera Australia, most major Festivals, most Symphony Orchestras, and ABC simulcasts locally, and worked in NZ., Italy, Singapore & USA.

As well as performing in our production of The Silent Anzac, Margaret has also sponsored a scholarship for a student to attend the Bright Brass and Percussion Summer Intensive.

Sean O'Toole


 Sean is one of Australia's premier Defence Force drummers and is currently the Band Sergeant Major of the Band of the First Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment. 

Sean has generously supported the Bright Brass and Percussion Summer Intensive by sponsoring a scholarship for a percussion student.
